I'm starting to generate work again. Please let me know if you're getting more workunits than our max_wus_in_progress for either CPU or GPU should allow (3 and 3 respectively).

I am getting download errors because the application to run these work units, "milkyway_0.57_windows_intelx86__ati14.exe", is not found on the server.

Got some 25 tasks on a 1-GPU (4-CPU) machine (which all failed to download).

Message 47280 - Posted: 9 Apr 2011, 21:05:07 UTC - in response to Message 47277.

I am getting download errors because the application to run these work units, "milkyway_0.57_windows_intelx86__ati14.exe", is not found on the server.

It looks like when the server got brought back up this morning the download directory was restored to an earlier version which didn't have Matt's application added to it yet. So as soon as he wakes back up and updates the applications I'll start sending out work again (which should fix the problem).

Are those 4 CPUs dual core? or can usually run to WUs at a time? (8 * 3) + 3 = 27 which would have you within the limits. But if not we need to figure out why you got too many workunits. :(

That would be 4 CPUs visible to BOINC: 1 socket, 4 cores, no HT. (And my preferences state use GPU only, in case the quota takes # of GPUs into consideration.)

I got 7 tasks for my P4.
Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.
