I am seeing these user requests also on version 1.21 on Mac OSX Intel. In fact, I have 7 of them in 90 minutes.

Jim

well don't know about the mac stuff but just let it run. As far as i know there are no issues like those on older win platforms that cause computational errors.

Though the mac app seems quite slow...

I have been finishing a task usually in around 750 seconds.

This strange user request glitch has only started since 1.21. Seems to have no adverse effect.

the user request glitch might be because of putting 600 in the servers config.xml to hopefully let people download WUs faster. it looks like this didn't fix the problem so i'll be removing it.

I do still get the freezing problem with 1.22 on xp. Progress meter is still slow, seems to be the same as 1.21. Runs a tad slower than 1.21.

What exactly do you mean by "freezing problem" ? Could you please specify that ?
Thanks.

The wu's only run for a brief period (generally 1 sec to 4 min, sometimes longer) and then switch to the next one, sometimes going through 8-10 before one will run fully. I think it was 1.17 that I had none do this (mentioned in that thread), all other versions I have had this with, so I think the solution could do with something that was changed for the 1.17 version but not in the others. Nothing shows up under Boinc messages. If a screen shot will help I'll get one when it shows up next, and let me know where to send it.

I have gone over this in a past error thread, that is why I said I 'still' have it.

Xp - sp2, 5.10.13

Sure a screenshot will help a lot since i'm not aware of such issues at all and i'm running the apps on W2K server, WXP SP2, WXPSP1, Linux and all that will compile the code... haven't seen taht issues yet.

So let's see what's up in your taskmanager... hopefully that will help us solve you issues.

Thanks.

the user request glitch might be because of putting <next_rpc_delay>600</next_rpc_delay> in the servers config.xml to hopefully let people download WUs faster. it looks like this didn't fix the problem so i'll be removing it.

You know, FWIW, the message says "requested by project", not "requested by user".
