Hi all,

I have an old AMD Athlon 64 x2 4800+ processor which i use for crunching milkyway@home. The thing is: BOINC manager says it is capable of SSE and SSE2, while im pretty sure it is also capable of SSE3. I tested this with CPU-Z and in the past i have used the optimized SSE3 version of milkyway with succes. (I'm using the regular version now)
Now, I am getting milkyway units for SSE2, but not for SSE3. Is this because milkyway doesnt support SSE3? Or is it because the BOINC manager doesnt detect the processors capabilities properly? If so, how can i make sure to get those SSE3 units? (they crunch way faster then the regular ones)

Thanx in advance!!

No SSE3 capable stock client has been released. The best you will get is SSE2.
