I found this in the BOINC wiki:
Changes in 7.4.26/7.4.27

Add support for notices that contain images and videos.
Add support for generic OpenCL devices. (Parallella, etc.)
Add support for ASIC Miners.
Add new AMD GPU descriptions.
Add new Windows version descriptions.
Add support for Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite)
Add support for Windows 10

Will this help get the new cards running?

Alexander

Probably not all by itself, I think the problem is the Server side software needs to know what kind of card you have, and they need to update it to do that. Blurf is an Admin here, you could PM him and he might be able to help.

THX Mikey, form me it's more for long-term planning and it will happen only when the new 20nm Card are available; I'm hoping for less power consumption ...
But when the actual cards have problems here to get work, how will it be in the future?

Until the Project updates their software I think we are stuck with what works now. Updating to a new Server version is not as easy as it sounds, each project does a TON of tweaks that need to then be hand typed into the new version, often NOT in the same place, thus causing days or weeks of the project not working quite right. Throw in some IT folks that are mostly volunteers and you tend to stick with what is working right now, rather than upgrade. The Boinc Developers release a version THEY think is best for them, but it includes things that alot of projects don't like, like the "credit new" system. Getting around that is a trial and error process and often has to be done in several places, none of which are documented, or not very well, as the developers don't really want people changing it.

For now, the only way around it is to use an app_info to get the work.

Good enough, if it works.
