me too, most of my WUs end up with the error. Got an 6950 too. I also have a 6950 runing here. As you can se it usuly works fine and from what I can se the only main diferece from your box is that I am using Vista 64 and Catalyst 11.6. I also leave 1 core free from BOINC by going in to the BOINC manager under 'Advanced' \ 'Preferences' and set the 'On multiprocessor system, use at most' to 75%. Hope this helps. |

using Vista 64 and Catalyst 11.6. Catalyst Version was 11.6 till this noon, then downgraded to 11.5. Changed nothing. The last 4 WUs differ in the time limit. Suddenly they are aborted at 1:09, 1:22, 1:09 and 1:13. Don´t know what changed. [/img] |

Hi there. I still do have these. I updated to the test client of boinc as was suggested in a different thread, but I still have them. So now I've basicly disabled the GPU in helping crunch the data. I'm using a Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 Catalyst 11.6 03/07/2011 22:50:37 | Milkyway@home | Aborting task ps_separation_13_3s_free_2_393640_0: exceeded elapsed time limit 84.80 (2960409.21G/34909.18G) |

Seems that they have all win7x64. IS there anybody with win7x64 witch doesn't have this Problem? Could the 0.82x 86 Version with an App_indo.xml File run under Win7x64? |

Since i remembered that last year the "optimized apps" have been running quiet well, i gave them a try. At least they ran without error (0.23 from P3DNow), but of course validation has failed. |

Seems that they have all win7x64. I think so I don't have a problem. Running Win7 ultimatex64 on i7 with 2 ati 5870. Once in a while I look at the results page and see no errors. Credits increases nicely when system is running. Greetings from, TJ |

I have this problem too - every unit seems to return this error, exactly as described in this thread. Sapphire HD4890 - WinXP 32bit SP3 - Q6600 @ 3.43GHz with 4Gb DDR2(800). I am a new contributor and only started last night, so presumed that this was normal operating, until I discovered this thread. I run an overclock so was concerned in case this was indicating an instability, however I have run this system at this overclock on Folding @ Home for several years without issue. I will stop using the GPU until this is fixed or at least beter understood so a work-around can be created, as I do not want to waste valuable WU processing time. Regards. Dave. |
