One wu will start and run a few secs and then go to the next wu and starts and runs a few sec. It does this 4 to 8 wu's then runs through fine. I have a screenshot of what it looks like. If I can ever get logged into photobucket I'll get in posted (seems to be too busy?)

Yes eventually. When one wu finishes it seems to cycle through from the top, somethimes starting one, other times it goes down untill it starts one.

@banditwolf
What client version are you using? I think this is fixed in the current recommended 5.10.45.

Basically what is happening is that since many tasks have the same deadline the CPU scheduler can not decide which one is most important to run. Also just a few seconds of processing can change which task is most important.

I have come across this on other projects and their fora (or is forums ok?)

Until BOINC can fix this - and everyone updates their BOINC - I wonder if projects could avoid sending out WU's with exactly the same deadlines? I'm asking the question without any idea of how difficult it may be to implement...

Just to let everyone know, I changed to 5.10.45 about 2 weeks ago and I haven't seen this problem yet. So that seems to have been fixed.

The only thing is that whatever the current task is, it always run's as 'high priority'. Is there a way to change that in the manager? 5.10.13 didn't say that.
Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.

Just wanted to say that 5.10.45 caused dll errors over at cosmo and seems to be a buggy release.

Suppose it depends on the problem/project.
