Sorry to see you go Ralph, stop back again. Agreed. Or maybe he should give it another try... the last few days were very fine here for crunching. :-) Lovely greetings, Cori |

I agree Cori, I've been getting a steady stream of work the last day or so. Spoken too soon - no work to download and my machines are getting dry on Milky. |

I agree Cori, I've been getting a steady stream of work the last day or so. Shhh! Don't mention getting work, 'cos the work generator is obviously listening! In the television world we talk of the commentator's curse. So what's this, the cruncher's curse? Since we've blown it alreay I'll mention that I have 1 WU to report and 2 to crunch. Prepares to duck... Regards Rod |

As I said, I'm only stopping the flow to my computer until I can see results. Once a week, when I run scans, clean up, and otherwise spend time with the computer, Milkyway can run. I just can't babysit it 7 days a week. Each week I will be running work units, to see what improves. I have noticed a distinct lack of repeated errors in the last batch. I liked the idea of this project, and that's why I joined. I have not quit. I also liked another (left nameless) project that I had to quit after the pundits involved degraded AMD, NVidia, my OS, and my questions as trivial. All my hardware and software has changed since then, and my new system would be ideal for it, but I doubt I'll try them again. |

I agree Cori, I've been getting a steady stream of work the last day or so. *ROFL* I have also WUs to report and the ones in stock are decreasing fast... Did you hear that, dear WU generator??? ;-))) Lovely greetings, Cori |

Good call, I hadn't noticed that. Yeah, we're trying to fix the assimilator problem. It seems to be working, however it's either reprocessing already processed wus or not deleting them. Either way it's a problem so we're purging the db. After that done, you guys should be receiving work like you were. I'm also in the process of upgrading the server software, however I'm having trouble compiling because it wants to link with some non existant graphics libraries. We'll figure it out though. Good call, I hadn't noticed that. I don't need graphics either, they slow the machine down. CLICK TO HELP BUILD |

I just can't babysit it 7 days a week. That usually ‘comes with the territory’ in test projects. I would suggest that users who aren’t prepared to keep a pretty close eye on things—and tolerate some crashes, lost credit, work shortages, &c.—should probably stick with mature ‘production’ projects. |

Not a complaint to be said today. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected? If it makes sense, DON'T do it. |

Psst, don't speak too loud... Last time we ran out of WUs immediately after stating all was soooo quiet. *grin* Lovely greetings, Cori |
