Hey Everyone,

I made it so this forum was useable to express anything you might have to say. The reason you see so many errors is because we're upgrading to PHP 5 which the new php files are but we're currently on PHP 4. However, there still is some base functionality while we're doing this. Sorry for the inconvience.

It's still not possible to edit, create or delete profiles, even the server software update didn't help, it did make it worse.
Can you try to fix that soon?
Thanx.

The only thing i notice that is wrong is that you can't upload an avatar. Could you be more specific?

I think he wanted to point out that one can't access his/her own user profile. ;-)
If I want to look at mine (or at anyone else's) I'm getting:
Unable to handle request

No user profile exists for that user ID.

S.O.S.! :-D

EDIT: I haven't tried deleting my profile and creating a new one.
I was a bit afraid of messing things up even more. *grin*

Exactly that what I meant.
My account says, I have a profile (and I created one long ago without a picture), but when I watch, edit or delete it, there's always the "unable to hande"-message.
It was already before the server update and now it's more worse.
Several users are affected by that as far as I could see.

Funny enough the forum preferences including signatures are working fine, I edited my sig yesterday and it worked! *grin*

I guess the user profiles are treated differently by the server?

I have never been able to upload an avatar here :(

Seems all the projects that have this software version have the bug of not showing a thread has been read unless you exit the message board and return.I also dislike the fonts they use...too light...then there is the smaller area on the account page due to leaving a blank area on the right side for friends, the host lists no longer shows how many results the server has that have not been purged yet....I can go on and on...Dr Anderson's group think they are improving things yet functionality has taken a back seat to this inane drive to make this a social club.

They have vanished, too. (I had one until the forum upgrade). :-O

Well the user profiles do work. One you get that error message you have to refresh the page. I don't know why this is. I'll look into it though.

Very strange... I even logged out and back into my account again. Nope.
Refreshing didn't work either. Now I've tried to delete my profile and the answer from the server was:

couldn't delete profile - please try again later

*LOL*

You're right though. There's a problem with the database. There has always been some problems but we might need to do a fresh reset of the SQL database so there's no more database errors.

Thanks for looking into it, Dave! :-)

PS: Maybe we need mod privileges to view/edit our profiles? *grin*

PS2: Happy Easter, btw!

One tiny bug - The yellow 'unread' posts indicator isn't working any more.
