Looks like there was a problem with one of the hard drives. We've replaced it and it looks like the database is back into RAM, so hopefully we'll have some smooth sailing from here on out. |

Did that have anything to do with all of the work done on my computer crashing too? Even work that hadn't started was listed as "Computational Error" with another warning "Boinc could not connect to the server!" I really don't know the proper procedure for taking care of this but I "Reset the Project." New projects immediately downloaded and began to run correctly. ^..^~~ |

No idea, but there's certainly a chance. :) |

This is more likely your problem: couldn't start CreateProcess() failed - Not enough storage is available to process this command. (0x8): -148 |

Matt .. how do I rectify that situation, that is, if it's my problem? Do I allow more disc space or is it that there's not enough memory devoted to the BOINC operations? Thanx, r! ^..^~~ |

To set it to low, he should have the knowledge but from what he has posted, i dont think so. Even though i agree the problem is at his end. |

I figured 50Gb of disc space to be enough but I'm new here and I haven't the slightest idea how much space BOINC needs - That's why I asked. Anyway, I found the problem... with the network box checked, "Disconnect when done," my computer couldn't or wouldn't connect during the day when I wasn't using the network card. It seemed to go to sleep and would not wake. Simple fix, leave it connected to the BOINC servers. Problems are solved. I also found that resetting the program for work that hadn't started but was listed as "Computational Error," was the wrong way to go. Simply reconnecting to the BOINC server and then hitting update put them all running right again. Thanx anyway people, r! ^..^~~ |
