Hello! Since the upgrade to Catalyst 11.11 I´m getting calculation errors on my ATI graphics cards. I checked the install, everything is ok. I´m running the latest BOINC version. Before the upgrade everything was fine and nothing else was altered. All other stuff except Milkyway runs fine. System 1: Win 7 64bit 4x ATI 4850 PCI-E System 2: Win 7 32bit 1x ATI 3850 AGP |

Same here. Computation errors all over. Work will be between 1 and 3 seconds, then error. Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit AMD 965 BE 3.4Ghz 2 X XFX ATI HD4890 1GB DDR5 CrossfireX mode I've used the 11.11 and 11.12 CCC drivers. Log says finished, Status in client all says computation error. Go back to the 11.9 drivers, the newer ones are best for gaming not crunching. |

Mikey, Thanks for the advice and quick reply. Removed the current drivers, installed 11.9 Blasting through WU about 2min 2sec each. Status says Ready to Report. |

I have a ATI HD 6870 and Milky says that I don't have the necessary computing power? 2TB/s isn't fast enough? I bought my system specifically to work with BOINC projects, and yours is a main one. What do I need to do to get this puppy crunching with your project? Using Catalyst 11.12 made sure I had Open CL SDK 2.6. Specs are: MS Windows 7 64-bit SP1 CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Thuban 45nm Technology RAM 8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 535MHz (7-7-7-19) Motherboard Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Thanks for the option to be able to help in this project! :) Also let me know if I just need to wait for a new Milkyway update too. |

AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (Sapphire/PCPartner) Your 68xx card does not have double precision. The other projects don't need double precission. From the 6000 series you would need a 69xx to run MW on it. See the GPU requirement thread in the number crunching section for more info. |

AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (Sapphire/PCPartner) What he said. Here's a page laying out ALL the ATI cards deatails, including which has DP, in nice easy to compare charts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_AMD_graphics_processing_units#Northern_Islands_.28HD_6xxx.29_series |
