Travis is going to do a db_purge to clean out the database. Should only take an hour or so i think. After that he'll create more. If he doesn't post back here and i'll talk to him.

Out of curiosity, why is this necessary? Is it just a routine thing you do after all WUs have been reported and you've got the data to start processing it, before you do a new search? Or does clutter build up over time?

Well we should get this to be done automatically, however we haven't been able to get it to do that yet. But as more WUs get reported in, the database grows quite a bit, and when we take them out (download them), they stay in the mysql database. It gathers about 1 gb each day from what i've seen. So it can get very cluttered.

It doesn't seem like the purge process takes very long to do.

it takes a couple hours depending on how many WUs are in the database. we're going to look into automating this process so the buildup doesn't slow the server to a crawl.
