i am out and still get the out of work and or cant find server, internet is ok server must be down. errors
i also do seti @ home and over there it has been brought up as a fix is to down grade the client back to a 6.10.58-60.
i did that to my slower cpu and all that i got were ati 13 (not the current ati14)
and of course it is slower.

is that going on over here also, is it better to get older work units that take longer to do and get less credit for them.
or to baby sit all of my cpu's each and every 2-3 hr to make them download the new work units so they just do not sit empty for a day or to with out work units.

i also use the heat that they make from doing the work to help with the heat at this time of the year. why should i have them on in idle mode and not making any heat. when i could just use the money spent in electr. on them and use a space heater ?

It seems to be constant problems and running out of work since the server went off the other week. Just make sure you have a backup project or two.

yes and the back up that i use is seti and they are having the same problem.
i did have other but because they have gone away and most of the other are not worth my time, in my own option.
i do this one and seti with both of them having the same problem, one would think that someone would be getting with the client coders and figuring out this problem. but till the projects tell the coders that there is a problem no one will even address the issues.

One problem is sometimes BOINC/MW will stop checking for an extended period of time. This is a problem if you're away from your PC. Someone wrote a script where you can set it to keep checking. I forgot in which topic that was.

Have the same problem here.

I only acept ATI GPU wu's as they are done in under 1 minute, and CPU wu's take forever.

I believe that's why the server runs out of WU, they are done too fast.

My old 2.8GB Pentium 4 Northwood core only has a single processor, with no hyperthreading.
It wouldn't get any n-body work units.
Are 2 processors (real or virtual) required in order to run n-body work?

Renderfarm also uses an Multi-Threading application, but that runs fine on my single P4 machine.

On your first pc I think this is the problem:

On the first pc if you allow Boinc to crunch more, by LOWERING the 48% to a LOWER number you might get more work.

On the 2nd pc are you producing lots of errors? If so this is why you see this, either that or you have just reached the max units for the day like the rest of us. This number JUST went up, so your 2nd pc may be getting more work now. If not check for errors, too many errors lowers the total number of units allowed to a specific pc. This is a Boinc thing NOT a project thing, too many errors means more work for the Server getting the units and then resending them back out again. So the Server side throttles the total number of units a pc can get, but the number returns to normal very quickly as units crunched as 'valid' start up again.
