So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish.

Due to ever increasing power bills (hit $700 last quarter) and the ongoing price gouging by the power companies (with the requisite lack of concern by the government) I'm forgoing crunching. It's been a great 10 years of watching SETI@home grow and BOINC develop into the multi-project platform that it is.

Good luck to the Milkyway@home staff and crunchers.

Live long and crunch.

Paul.

It's 10 degC outside and we have the electric heater going. Time to kick the GPUs into action for a while to provide an extra bit of warmth...

I recall reading some other users just run in winter when they need heat since electricity is relatively expensive in their region (or their budget), and since heat comes from WATTs burned, it doesn't matter if your heat comes from a stove, lamp, electric heater, or a computer.

Welcome back...
...for more fish....and please... no Vogan Poetry thank you.
