I do believe that he is talking about BOINCTasks and Fred has this to say. Means BoincTasks didn't see the task complete (in upload or completed). This can range from seconds to minutes. You can set the rate, but the faster you choose the more computer resources Boinc Tasks uses. If the task completes and reports before Boinc Tasks asks for an update, then it was missed. It knows it was there, but it just didn't see it go. Most of my MW tasks are "missed". BOINCTasks would need to poll in the time between task completion and reporting. For separation tasks being processed on a fast GPU this time can be very short.
