I'll be updating the server daemons today (it's been a long time coming), so expect some downtime in terms of work generation and validation. We're going back to a c/c++ implementation (as opposed to the current Java one) which will help keep things more in line with the BOINC trunk. This is also going to let us test a more generic version of the evolutionary algorithms code we have, which hopefully other BOINC projects should be able to use if they have a similar need. As always, our code is open source, so if you'd like to take a look at it the server code is here: https://github.com/Milkyway-at-home/milkyway_server And it uses my evolutionary algorithms/optimization code: https://github.com/travisdesell/tao --Travis

Looks like the validators are back up and running. Onto the assimilators.

server seems to work very hard to get work units generated, still only 13 WUs in cache ^^ DSKAG Austria Research Team: http://www.research.dskag.at

I keep finding no tasks, and was just unable to get any work units when I forced an update. I do see this occasionally on weekends (I figure the server has failed in some manner and there's no one there to reset it), but it's sure taking a bite out of my average... |
