ATI v0.82 CAL app XP SP3 (32-bit) works.
ATI v0.82 CAL app W7 SP1 (64-bit) failed.

OK, I had an idea and eventually found the solution: use the x86 (32-bit) application.

I have run 42 WUs today just as a final test, before finishing the last few Collatz tasks, the 32-bit CAL app runs without any issues so far on my HD3850 under 64-bit Win7. Runtimes and CPU-usage are not different than the 64-bit app, at least nothing I could notice.

Im happy too that my 3850 agp is back on track with xp 32 :) computed now 250 units and only had a problem with a old resent workunit that did not run on the card and hang the gpu. Great job :) hope the rac is back too ^^

Ok :/ i saw today only the 09_02 are running ok the 10_02 samples are hanging too :/ whats the difference?

Hmm... I had just one so far, but it didn't hang, it just errored out at the end with exit code -1073740940.

Now that I think about it... have I ever tried a ps_separation_09_2s_sample_2* with the 64-bit app? I don't know... so eventually there's no need to use the 32-bit app on 64-bit system. Maybe I'll try that one day, for now I'll stick with "never change a runnung system".
