It was running in the upright position prior to the new power supply. When I put the rig on its side to replace the PS and then fired it up, it appears that some of the board solder melted and shorted to the case. Shazaaammm! Pulled the power cord and aired the joint out. The board is currently touring the western states on its way to Whittier CA courtesy of UPS. Thanks,and for the tip too...she has run almost 2 million Boinc credits between XP and Linux.......hope 8.04 deals with the graphics issues I have over multiple hosts with gutsy.....she is getting long in the tooth though,need more cores.
