Just reached 1 million credits in less than 20 days on my home PC. (I was trying to get there in less than 20 days.) Giving a workout to my i7-3930K. :D

Next goal: 1 quintillion FPOs (shouldn't take long).

But main next goal: 10 million credits in less than 180 days from now (200 days total). Stability, reliability (including server, BOINC/MilkyWay@home) and even available power (blackouts) and internet connection can become an issue with the longer time span needed.

Wish me luck!

I'll report back in 180 days and let you guys know if I made it.

Congratulations, microchip. I'll check out your computer stats and see how you're holding up against your potential. Sounds like you're really getting into it now though, you know, with the Mayan date coming up and all. ;)

My long, long term goal on this PC is 100 million. We'll see how long it takes, and I'll worry about it when/if I reach my next goal. (I just had a day down due to a [false positive?] MilyWay@home [.exe] virus detection. I think I've got that sorted now though.)

Best regards, and I'd like you to join my team, Guild of Scientific Philosophers (which is just me at the moment ;)), because you have spirit! (No worries, this isn't a trap compliment or something. I just like your style, or at least what I've gathered, and I'm not honestly expecting you to potentially join my team, for various reasons.)

Keep on crunching for the win!

Thanks for the offer in joining your team, but I'm already a team founder of Team Belgium so I think you understand I can't leave the team :)

Good luck to you too for reaching your next goal

Thanks! :)

I only have one cruncher, which also acts as server, so it's not much but I think every little bit counts :)

IT DOES COUNT, every little bit helps!!! Remember what they say when people play the lottery..'it isn't how many tickets you buy that counts, it's that you bought the WINNING ticket'! YOUR pc COULD crunch the ONE unit that ties everything together!! ALL the rest of us could just be crunching the support units!! We NEVER know, that is why we ALL crunch!!

CONGRATULATIONS

Is the 330M not capable of crunching? Do you have a "Sandy Bridge" processor? If so you might want to upgrade to version 7.0.40, or above, of Boinc, it IS a Beta so you COULD have problems, but it auto detects SOME Sandy Bridge gpu's and can crunch with them. You can get all version of Boinc here:
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/?C=M;O=D

IF you decide to try a newer version downgrading again WILL wipe out all existing units on the pc, so be warned! I am personally using 7.0.40 on all of my pc's and have not seen a problem yet, but that doesn't mean others haven't! Version 7.0.42 is already out so somebody had some problem, or they are detecting more Sandy Bridge gpu's. Betas are full working versions, but are NOT the stable final release version, they could be but no one knows yet.
