The REAL temp yesterday morning was 28F! Today the outside temp is 24F with a high again near 44. This is ALSO why I live here, it doesn't get TOO cold, and when it gets hot in the summer it doesn't stay that way too long either! We get the seasons but not too much of any of them! WINNING!!! The problem with shoveling isn't the getting started, it is the technique that lets you KEEP GOING until you are all done! And that only comes from ALOT of shoveling!! It is similar to how the Japanese shovel gravel, a little bit in each shovel full means you can move quicker and last longer then the person who lifts the maximum each time. Find a rhythm and just get to it! I have shoveled PLENTY in my lifetime and I am VERY tired of it!! Where I live now gets mostly dustings, and that is just fine with me!! I just let it melt on its own, no shoveling required! Very rarely I get ALOT of snow, but then the WHOLE AREA will shut down for days and I end up spreading the shoveling out over a couple of days if needed. I bought an electric snow blower and it works fine! It is a little overwhelmed by snow deeper then it is, but if I lift it up and take bites at it it works. Kind of like fenced in backyards and the fall leaves, fences tend to stop them on their travels, while no fencing means they move on to the next house.
