Hey.

I'm curious about these messages I'm getting on both of my computers:

<search_application> milkyway_separation 1.00 Linux x86 double </search_application>
Error loading Lua script 'astronomy_parameters.txt': [string "number_parameters: 4..."]:1: '<name>' expected near '4'
Error reading astronomy parameters from file 'astronomy_parameters.txt'
Trying old parameters file
Using SSE3 path

Is that normal? Is that something I should be fixing on my end?

Here's one of the tasks (there are more of same messages):

I had a fail today for:
de_separation_22_sSgr_1_1358941502_24366709_0

It said it had a upload but on my account it is still listed as "work in progress."

I have a lot errors from WU 21_sSgr_1 with 1358941502 in it.

unfortunately that's just the nature of the current Separation run. if you look more closely at your errors, those same tasks have been erroring out on all of your wingmen's hosts as well. what that tells us is that there is either a server-side problem, or that the errors lie in the data itself and are to be expected...but perhaps the most important thing to take away from this that there isn't a problem with your host's hardware or software. the same thing is going on w/ one of my MW@H host machine and all my wingmen's hosts as well, not to mention countless others participating in the project.

Hi,
I am getting a calculation-error from WU:

ps_separation_21_sSgr_1_1358941502_26461279_4

I have never had a WU fail before.

Regards,
Jesper

Hi - The "ps_separation_21_sSgr_1" run ended a few days ago, but there are always some WU's left in the system after a run ends (since the server creates them in large blocks). My guess is that you got a straggler, and there was no other WU to validate against.

Sometimes a bad data packet goes down the pipe, or a processor makes a random mistake, and a WU just fails. These aren't common, but they happen. I'd only be worried if you see a bunch of WUs error.
