It got into the low 60'sF here yesterday, I had to open a window just a crack so my heat pump would come on! I now have a pc in the same room as the thermostat and it means opening and closing the window periodically! Summer could become a problem!!

Checklist I just couldn't deal with 18.5 INCHES of snow anymore!! I would just be snowed in for the duration!! At almost 60 degrees though your storm drains should be all cleaned out soon thru snow melt.

WINNING!!!

@Mikey

Did you notice Rainbow has more than doubled the WU crunch time and lowered the credit by one third?

I DID TOO, I am now taking over twice as long to crunch a unit and only get 1.5 times the credit I was getting! They upped the credit and times on 1 April:
Here is a 31 March unit 613.76 8.03 12,377.00
and here is the same pc on 1 April 1,356.79 16.63 19,825.00

That is my new AMD 7970 and it WAS taking just over 10 minutes to run one unit, while now it is taking just over 22 minutes to run one unit! I see people complaining but I do NOT see any Admin types saying what happened and WHY!

I am WINNING but considering a move!

Miley

Your HD7970 was giving you a daily RAC of 1.74 million, and now, from the figures you quoted, due to the longer WU times your RAC should fall to a steady 1.26 million. No other project pays that rate for a single card, so why move?

Yes, I see no admin posting a reason for the change, just comments on the reduction. But the credit given per WU is still excellent.

Winning as I watch my total credit climbing steadily, if slowly ...

While you try to carry a tune in that bucket of yours I am WINNING!!!

John I HAVE started moving some gpu's away from DistRTgen, my 5770's are up to 4 hours PER unit and that is unacceptable to me for a gpu crunch time!!

STILL WINNING!!!

John it seems DistRTgen has begun to fix the problem, time will tell if it is on purpose or purely left over units. SOME of my units today are back to the 30 March times and credits.

I JUST got a note from a team member saying this:
the size of the wu is in the wu name.

20440086 mysqlsha1_mixalpha-numeric-all-space#1-8_24_360000x500000 - 225752000000_2

20514703 mysqlsha1_mixalpha-numeric#1-9_0_755000x500000 - 16172000000_3

He thinks it is the "360000" vs "755000". and says 'If you look on the main page Graphs you will see that people have aborted
about 40K of those longer WU's and still no response from admin.'

For me at least, when benchmarks are run, I have to abort the tasks because the tasks never finish. Computers may be stuck for days as they don't get checked that often, major waste of time and resources. Before worth it, not so much anymore. Welcome back, or, WINNING here!!!

Use a cc_config.xml file to fix it:
<cc_config>
<options>
<use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus>
<skip_cpu_benchmarks>1</skip_cpu_benchmarks>
<work_fetch_debug>1</work_fetch_debug>
</options>
</cc_config>

It would go in the hidden directory c:\ProgramData\Boinc

I am now WINNING!!!
