I think iv tried everything. I have the last driver. In options iv set GPU to always run, and run even when the PC is in use. As I understand the GPU will perform a lot better than the CPU so I feel its waste of resources only running projects on CPU. Anybody know what I should do? I run W7 x64 whit a HD4830. Thanks in advance. |

I think iv tried everything. Have you gone to AMD.com and downloaded the right drivers yet? The Windows drivers are NOT setup to let you crunch with them, you need the AMD drivers themselves. And you want the WHOLE set of drivers, which is usually the first choice on the list that will come up when you click on Support and Drivers. After they are installed you will want to restart your pc and when Boinc starts it should start crunching. If it doesn't go into the Boinc Manager, down by the clock, and press ctrl, shift, E all at the same time and the log will open up and near the top you will see where it talks about your gpu. It will give any errors found there, post them here and we can help you figure out the problem. As for wasted resources using a cpu that is more of a project by project thing...some projects use the same units for both the cpu and the gpu, while other projects actually have different units for each. Also some people don't have gpu's capable of crunching yet, so for them there are no other options. |

Thanks for your reply. I reinstalled the latest driver. I know from earlier that someting is wrong whit it (for my PC at least). After everything is installed and I restart PC i get an error message that says "KBDSync.exe has failed" or someting like that. I know for sure that it has something to do whit the driver. Im sorry, but I dont know what you mean whit "Boinc Manager, down by the clock". [/img] |

Im sorry, but I dont know what you mean whit "Boinc Manager, down by the clock". He means to open the Boinc manager, the icon is in the system tray. Unless you have customized the location of your task bar, the system tray is the group of small icons in the lower right corner of your screen. |

I think so. The place to ask about this is in the number crunching forum. I believe there are some there with a card similar to yours who should be able to tell you how you can work around this. |

I saw this when the OpenCL bits didn't install. In C:\AMD\Support\13-1_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql\Packages\Apps\OpenCL64\ There is OpenCL.msi I ran that and I was good to go. |
