Greetings all.

We are currently in the process of creating some visualizations from the Nbody runs. We want to share the work with all of you. To facilitate the distribution of the videos we created a YouTube channel. So while we are assembling the videos I made a playlist of talks related MilkyWay@home .

Enjoy and we hope to be adding more content as time progresses.

Ok, so the videos are from 2011, and Matt may not be the best presenter and the audio sucked quite a bit.
However ... I found them to be quite informative in several aspects:
You have to have respect for someone who can re-develop an app from scratch without the original code.
You can understand the extreme patience required by the BOINC server operator who is applying many arch-based clients and having to recompile the server software to do so - while the server software is breaking for various other reasons.
I recon 2011 was a very trying year for Matt and he did well to push through.
Now he's got a solid platform and some cracking client apps.
Quite the coup, and well deserving of some adulation, I think.

Great work, Matt!
Thanks for sticking with us.
PS - Thanks also to Jeff who has taken some of the load off Matt. Also a noteable effort.

We have added the output of our new visualizer to the YouTube Channel.

Please visit the page comment share and enjoy if you are so inclined.

We will be posting more detailed simulations of the results from the N-Body runs as we get results.

I have added links to the new RCOS talks by Jake Weiss and am in the process of editing video from a talk by Doctor Newberg. New content will continue to be placed on the Youtube channel as it becomes available. I may not always announce new material on these message boards; so if it is of your interest, I suggest subscribing to the channel or checking it periodically for updates.

I am curious why this channel got a few videos then just seems to have been abandoned.

Hey D Pen,

Jeff Thompson is no longer working on the project and he is no longer encouraging us to make videos. A lot of interesting stuff has been going on with NBody though so I will ask Sidd to make a couple videos.

I enjoyed those videos especially the ones on the Telescope operation to view the crab nebula.
Wouldn't have ever known how to do such things thanks very much.
