It looks like the validator is working again, but struggling to catch up.

My pending list has grown from 1,200 to nearly 2,000 in the last hour or two, but I have seen some movement in total credit.

Same problem and out of work.

I think the assimilator is the key here...when fixed we will get validation and work as normal ;)

Just got 20 wu 2 reissues all the rest new Still got the pending queue

WARNING to Linux users one of the reissues was a 373 so some are still in the system

The validator is working but has a back log

The server status frequently shows zero for validation when I have a number pending

I haven't been able to upload for 5 or 6 hours :(

No work downloading for me for awhile.

I have a number of results in the pending queue which I uploaded today which do not appear to be validating According to the server status there are no wu awaiting validating.

The pending wu all belong to gs37382.... batch

Christ, if it isn't one thing then it's another, can't any of these Projects run properly for more than .001% of the time ... ;)

I don't know what the problem is - whether the server is under-powered or poorly configured but it sure is annoying that when there is work again, everything is now going into pending because the validator isn't doing its job.

I don't think it's a matter of backlog either since not a single result I have returned in the last few hours has been validated and stats sites (like Free-DC) show hardly any credit issued on this project in the last update.

it really seems like the server might be underpowered -- the database gets overloaded very quickly. as a temporary fix once these searches are over and the DB is clean again, i'm going to keep the purge permanently running to keep the DB as efficient as possible.

I have about a 500 WU's Pending on diferent PC's.
See this PC.
But when i click the work unit ID for details i'll get a 'can't find workunit' error.
Are they purged before the validating process started ?

indeed - very creative way to compete for fubar@home..

I know it sucks, but keep in mind we're still alpha here (not even beta). I really think this time around we've gotten all our cleaning-up processes running right so the validator/file uploader wont keep backing up on you guys. It's probably painful since we're still learning about the BOINC server here. We really are trying to get things running smoothly over here so you all wont have this kind of problems.

Please, bear in mind that 'some' people here are very appreciative of your efforts and intend to stay with this project whatever. Also bear in mind that there are others who like nothing better than to make snide remarks whatever you try and do. It's a shamme that those same people cannot find it in themselves to congratulate when things go well. Still that's message boards for you.
