Well, it's the weekend..

[Half-remembered lyrics]
"Monday's black,
and Tuesday's blue;
Wednesday's grey,
and Thursday, too;
it's Friday- I'm in love...
[/half-remembered lyrics]

This song is "Friday I'm in love", from The Cure, indeed. ;-)

Haven't posted here before, but wondering what's up? No work in nearly a day and, as far as I can tell, no words from the 'powers that be'

Time to move on to other BOINC projects, I wonder?

First-class information of the project management. Forget it. Other projects also do no week-end.

No work, server outages, bad work units, death dismemberment, confusion, taxes, shipping and handling, no money down ...

All these things and more are par for the course in BOINC.

The Lattice Project went bye-bye for about 7 days due to a failure of AC units. Cosmology has had off and on problems with issuing work ...

I am doing work for just about all of the currently active projects and in the last week or so, almost every one of them has had one issue or another. This is why the advice has always been to attach to more than one project. The faster the computer, the more projects you should attach to ...

The best news is that there are LOTs of projects to attach to, and do work for, so that if one is off line, another can fill the gaps.

I totally agree with your thinking (even to crunching almost all projects out there!). I've set my resources very high here. So mostly this project gets work, but when there's no work my hosts stay busy with other projects.

I also set NNW (No New Work) if a project hiccups and I'm not going to be around to watch my systems. But as long as there is communication from the admins I don't leave the project completely.

It seems the hampster ran out of food.

Maybe they went on summer break?
Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.

Or perhaps they are waiting for the work in progress to reach zero then they would know there were no faulty WUs in the system if so only another 9900 approx to go!

Well exams are over. But it's summer break. And I don't know about Travis, but I have a full time job that occupies me 9 hours a day, so i have trouble checking. I have notified Travis about the problem and I hope it's all fixed soon.

Perhaps it's worthy of a front page announcement like "The project is on holidays until (date). Please come back after the break"

Wot Yoda said!

Also, is this thread the most likely place Travis will respond to the question of available work? If so, I'll subscribe then get on with other stuff.
