Winning without post or mail in my .... Is your mail box blocked too? Mine was blocked by an ornery person for two days, they finally moved and I put my own car close enough that the mail person can get in, but there is not enough room for a car between mine and the mailbox and the driveway! It was frustrating!! I am now hoping my car doesn't get 'keyed' like my neighbors when his was on the street! WINNING???! |

Years ago, when Sheila and I lived in Glastonbury, Somerset, we had 2 parking spaces in Benedict Street between the double yellow lines. The police Station was across the road. There was one infuriating driver who kept parking in the middle of the spaces. My car, an Austin Westminster, had solid bumpers (fenders) at the right height, and a high torque low BHP 3 litre straight six could push the offending car along a bit and allow us both to park. In the end I got mad at always moving this jerk, so I pushed his car a 100 yards down the road, where it narrowed and the double yellow lines were prominent. I then reversed and parked, and soon another car was parked behind me. I saw the police looking at his car, looking for him (as the driver) and then ticketing him for illegal parking. He never came back and the rest is history and no keying. I thought after that I was WINNING Go away, I was asleep |

Winning, for now. @mikey, Fajitas and Margaritas are the preference for calming the CEO, albeit, temporarily. [edit] @John, Very nice car! [/edit] |

Winning, for now. @mikey, Fajitas and Margaritas are the preference for calming the CEO, albeit, temporarily. Do you make your own Fajitas or go out? If you do not make them at home I can send you a recipe we like alot! @John I would LOVE to push some of these people, but newer American car bumpers just can't handle it! I would end up tearing up my car and that would not be a good thing. |

It's winning then that my current car (owned 9 years) has fenders that can tear other vehicles off. Means I could win, possibly, in your circumstances? Go away, I was asleep |

It's winning then that my current car (owned 9 years) has fenders that can tear other vehicles off. Means I could win, possibly, in your circumstances? Mine too is 9 years old, a 2004 Honda Pilot. It has 4wd but since I am retired I don't need that part anymore. My wifes car is a 20011 Honda CRV and it is also 4wd, but she actually uses hers as she has times when she MUST drive thru the snow and ice. They are full time 4wd, or more technically, 4wd on demand. The car chooses when to go in and out of 4wd, unless we downshift into 1st or 2nd and then push a special button. They are both automatics so I have only done that once and I probably didn't need to, but the car was new and it was a steep hill with 5 inches of snow. It is pretty cool how it works, EVERY TIME I start from a dead stop it shifts into 4wd, then when either I let up on the gas or it shifts into 2nd the 4wd switches off. Power slides with all 4 wheels spinning are FUN!! That only happens though with slippery roads, rain will do, and a turn such as at an intersection. @checklist I will get the recipe to you as soon as I look it up, easy and delicious! Also the new gpu should go in today!! @Odd-Rod try the software Macrium-Reflect as a free backup program. It creates an image of your pc and you can even schedule it to happen automatically. I set my pc's up to back up once a month to a machine that has a 2tb drive in it. I recently restored a pc from one of those backups and it worked just fine. If you switch to the pay version, which I have not, you can even do incremental backups meaning only new stuff gets backed up. One restore disk will work for every pc if you chose the Linux one, then you just point it to where the backup is. I have used it for over a year now and after trying several free ones I like this one because of the scheduled backups. All of the pc's I backup this way take about 850gb, and then after a new backup is made I delete the old one, meaning right now the drive is rarely over half full. I do my backups at one hard drive per day, so one pc could take 2 or 3 days if it has lots of drives in it. Each backup has it's own name so it is easy to do. Then at the end of the month I take a portable 1tb usb drive and copy all the backups onto it, meaning I have 2 months of backups most of the time. On 2 pc's I backup them up internally using the program Acronis Backup, I bought the software for a friend when I was working on his pc and he decided he was going ot just wing it without a backup. His pc has crashed twice since then and he STILL won't backup!! In fact I have it in my hands AGAIN as it crashed AGAIN!! Last time it took Spinrite 7 days to fix it!! It's a laptop and I just think he isn't very careful all the time. |
