@Checklist the new gpu is in and crunching at Rainbow!! Hopefully my rac will start going back up there!! No it just started yesterday but it seems every unit so far has been a good one!! And at a run time of 624.36 4.65 9,400.00, it is faster then the other one which is doing units at 675.47 6.46 9,400.00. The new one is in a machine with a 6 core cpu, with 1 core just for the gpu, and 16gb of ram. The slower one is in a 4 core machine, again with 1 core just for the gpu and only 3gb of ram. Winning because I didn't need a reinstall! Just reinstalled the graphic driver. mikey, I'm taking a look at the backup app you mentioned. While I do backup (not often enough) I would like something automatic. And you mentioned Spinrite! Yeah, it can take long on a bad disk, but it can work miracles sometimes. Winning because I didn't need a reinstall! Just reinstalled the graphic driver. Yeah last time Spinrite took a week, this time it has taken 4 days so far and it only at 60%. It has been stuck on the same spot for 3 days!! BUT it is still going thru the harddrive and is progressing. It is the SAME harddrive//laptop as the one that took a week last time. I finished it last time and he would NOT let me even back it up, if it finishes this time I won't tell him it is done until AFTER I back it up!! He of course did NOT back it up AT ALL!! He paid me 300 bucks last time, I am guessing he had some work stuff he REALLY wanted and I saved it for him. This time he has a desktop at work and only uses his laptop on travels and at home, so I am guessing it does not have as much work stuff on it. Last time, and this time so far, I just plugged it in and let Spinrite do it's thing, so it was only the cost of electricity that it cost me. ID: 59597 · Rating: 0 · rate:
