My garage is full of stored stuff from 2 of my 3 adult children .... My computers are in my basement, my garage is like John's, full of my two grown kids 'stuff'. But they left 'stuff' in my basement TOO!! My oldest is going to be buying a house soon so hopefully he will come get his 'stuff' and take it there. My youngest is still trying to figure out what to do with his life after finishing college, so I may be storing his for a while yet!! Long ago I stopped parking my cars in the garage and they have never gone back, probably never will either. WINNING!!! |

Winning as Mikey's description of his garage and basement seems to mirrow ours .... I live in a neighborhood full of current and retired military folks, most have pretty empty garages and basements. I think it is the result of moving every few years, they have had to purge the things that I still have. I moved into my house almost 27 years ago when my oldest was 3 years old. I decided that since I have NO childhood friends, due to moving all the time, that I would not do that to my kids. They grew up in the house and still see kids they new in preschool!! The only kid friends I still have are from my last 1.5 years in high school as right after that I joined the Navy and moved away for 6 years. |

Winning as Mikey's description of his garage and basement seems to mirrow ours .... mikey, I moved around as a kid as well, but have lived in the Cape Town area from my last 3 years of high school (grades 10, 11, 12 if that helps?), so I know what you mean about childhood friends. I still have contact with my school best friend and we see each other about monthly. My 'kids' are 20 and 22 (23 on Wed) and they also still have friends from preschool. Some of their friends were school friends right from preschool till today. At the moment, the garage is mainly filled with my stuff, like the computer I'm typing on! I do have a carpet here, so it's not too bad :D Oh yes, the topic - WINNING! |

Did Odd-Rod mention WINNING? I think he said something about ME winning!!! @odd-rod the grades levels are the same here in the US. My kids are 24 and 28 years old, both boys. I don't think putting my pc's in the garage would work for me, at least not right now, but it might be an idea as I could cool it off easier then my basement!! Hmmmm? |

That was a strange echo I heard, then? I don't think so, I think it was just John hearing things again. WINNING!!! |
