Hello all, I have started new runs today under the Milkyway Separation Modified Fit application today. The runs are named: de_modfit_15_3s_test_5 ps_modfit_15_3s_test_5 If you run into any problems feel free to post them here. Current known issues with the Modified Fit application that are being fixed are: Mac Graphics Card issue. Linux Library issue. These should be fixed in the next release. Thank you, Jake W |

With 2 gpus, I cannot run CPU tasks. Maybe you have some app_config code I could try. What happens is 4 cpu tasks eventually start running and stops one of the gpus from running. Not unlike when a MT tasks start running. Simple stop-gap solution is to not allow CPU tasks... |

One other person reported something similar to this. You can find his thread http://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/forum_thread.php?id=3293#59140 There's a chance it may be a BOINC scheduler issue, but we need to look into it more. Jake W |

Thanks for the reply. Similar but not the same. I have run (4 simultaneous) seti cpu tasks for weeks and never get it to starve a gpu. I may play with app_config when I have some time. |

in cc_config, I set the logical spus to actual+1 (5) and I suspended all the seti tasks, I'm getting 4 cpu tasks and 2 gpu tasks running. Not what I would expected but its working. Only concern is if I get an (mt) task which will mess things up while it runs. If I re-enable the seti tasks, I get 5 MW tasks running and disables one of the GPUs again. |
