Da Skins, Da Bears, the left over leftovers, ouch. Yeah I thought Da Skins were going to prove me wrong yesterday, they started out great and then quit! The same old guys were in there but either couldn't catch the ball or were just dropping it like it was a hot potato!! RGIII again ran around like he himself was going to win the game, all on his own!! I came up with a new drill in practice...1 on 11. RGIII has the ball, he must hike it to himself, and then he must run around trying to score a td, again all by himself, while the defense has their full 11 guys trying to stop him! One guy cannot do it, it just will never happen. Yet those guys keep thinking the play THEY make will win the game. Very frustrating too watch! I am WINNING, unlike Da Skins!!! |

I'm back! And winning! Today is Sunday, it is 32F outside right now with snow, sleet and freezing rain expected later on. I think the Redskins are in trouble today!! Although in the past bad weather has slowed down the really good teams bring them down to the level of the so so teams. Maybe the Chiefs will play down to the level of the Skins today? There is a 'winter storm warning' in effect for the whole Washington DC Metro area and that means anywhere from a dusting of snow in the immediate DC area and upto 3 to 4 inches in the panhandle of West Virginia. Northern Virginia has 600 plow and sand trucks on standby with most of them out pre-treating the roadways already! We are SUCH a whoosy area!!! |

I'm back! And winning! Returned yesterday from a pleasant Port Elizabeth after working on the Rugby 7's to lovely weather in Somerset West (40km from Cape Town CBD). Going to Durban tomorrow for the Nelson Mandela Championship golf, which has been moved a day earlier to accommodate his funeral. I think it's going to feel strange working on 'his' tournament now that we're between his passing on and his funeral. |

I'm back! And winning! At least they didn't cancel it though!! I too think it might be weird, but I also think still holding it is critical for it to survive. As for my snow...they CLOSED the Federal and ALL local Governments on Monday and Tuesday and are now opening 2 hours late on Wednesday!! MOST areas got between 1 to 3 inches of snow with some sleet on top of that. Then at night it got below freezing, and the freezing is why they closed everything. They are afraid of 'black ice' and the bazillions of inexperienced drivers and just shut things down!! We actually had a suv pass and then clip the front end of a salt truck that he thought was going too slow. The salt truck spun out and the suv driver has been charged! As of now the police are piling on the charges, but they haven't talked to his lawyers yet. Over 10 years ago I was in upper Minnesota during the dead of Winter and they PURPOSELY did NOT plow the roads down to the pavement, seems a layer of snow keeps 'black ice' from forming!! They just kept plowing and plowing until there is about 2 to 4 inches of snow left on the roads, then they move on to other roads. The only problems was when you left the roads for the totally plowed parking lots, there was a lip you had to go down, and then back up onto when you came back out of the parking lots. NO slipping and sliding though, even in only 2 wheel drive cars. I am staying home and WINNING!!! |
