I have avast antivirus and there is a warning, they are highly unusual files. I let theme anyway But are they dangerous or something ? |

I have avast antivirus and there is a warning, they are highly unusual files. If the only thing they found is the MilkyWay files then no they are not bad. If your a/v finds more things though be careful. To prevent this most of us have just excluded the Boinc directories from checking by our a/v software. If it really is a virus it WILL come out of the Boinc directories and try and infect other files and be caught, if it doesn't come out it isn't a problem. But in MOST cases it is a false positive and by not checking the Boinc directories you won't get the false warning. |
