I know you all want to know why the vrrroooommm in the title, well here's the scoop...I am an F1 fan, as most of you know, and the first race of the season was held yesterday in Australia. After the race they always have a tech inspection of the cars and it turns out one of the cars used fuel at too fast of a rate, which is illegal this year, and was thus disqualified from the race negating his on track 2nd place finish. The final race results are: Pos Driver Nationality Team Points 1 Nico Rosberg German Mercedes 25 2 Kevin Magnussen Danish McLaren-Mercedes 18 3 Jenson Button British McLaren-Mercedes 15 Under the Team name if their are two names the first is who makes the car and the second is who makes the engine. Red Bull Racing would be listed as Red Bull-Renault, while Ferrari would be listed as just Ferrari as they make their own engines too. Points are only paid thru 10th place, after that you get no points. The full list can be seen here: http://www.formula1.com/results/driver/ Ferrari, my favorite team, came in 4th and 7th. This season is going to be a tough one as they not only have to use fuel at no more then a specified rate, they must also not use more then 100L for the whole race. This all on a 1.6L v6 engine that is turbocharged and have both heat and brake generated energy recovery systems that can push the horsepower up near the 800bhp range. They are STILL doing over 200mph down the straights and STILL going thru corners like they are on rails. They are open wheel road race cars not circle track cars, so most of their time is spent turning left and right at various speeds. The car owners are ALL billionaires and F1 is their playground where each sends out their guys to see who has the better toys. Enjoy the game and the racing if you decide to tune in on the NBCSN channel most of the time. |

Congratulations mikey! No problem, btw that was a LOOOONG win!!! This weekend the F1 teams are in Malaysia, the F1 guys kicked some of the plane crash victims families out of their long reserved rooms, the hotel found other rooms elsewhere for the families. I'm guessing F1 is paying more for the rooms then the Government is for the families so the families had to move. Some of the families were not happy, but now they are closer to the airport and the rooms were free for them anyway. It is a VERY nice hotel. |

Congratulations mikey! I needed it, since I couldn't post here! I had set No New Work while I was favouring some other projects. I didn't realise I had done that for so long! Winning again! |

Congratulations mikey! It's not a problem! I too have set my pc's to NNT here as I am too close to passing my teammate. I have to wait for him to crunch some more so I can then do some more. |

Congratulations mikey! The F1 Bahrain stuff starts today with Practice 2 at 11AM East Coast US time on NBCSN. Same time tomorrow for Qualifying and then the race on Sunday that starts at 10:30AM again on NBCSN. Not very many of these races are near midday here in the US, MOST are setup for UK viewers to watch and they are the BIGGEST fans. Over there the races are on the SkyTV channel with a few on public tv. Race time in Bahrain this week is late afternoon and into the evening, so under the lights. If you prefer to watch in Spanish, Sunday's race will also be shown on UniMas at the same time, they show it without commercial interruptions. |

Winning! The Chinese Grand Prix is this weekend, todays Qualifying was in the rain but the Mercedes cars are still the fastest. BUT the Red Bull cars have gained alot of reliability and speed and are lying 2nd and 3rd for Sundays race. Rain though often makes fast cars slow, so the Red Bulls may not be as fast as Qualifying showed them to be, and in the dry races to come they could still be severely outclassed! |

The Chinese Grand Prix is now over and the Mercedes guys were again 1st and 2nd, this is the 3rd race in a row that has happened. Ferrari came in 3rd this time though, their first podium of the season!! The guys are onto Spain in 2 weeks for the next race at a more reasonable, East Coast US time of around 5am, the 3am races are over for right now. |

Winning after working on a slower race Saturday - Two Oceans Marathon :D Like watching snails race, I used to jog and thought about upping it to marathons but decided it took too much time and energy. I was in my late 20's and other things on my mind! |

Winning after working on a slower race Saturday - Two Oceans Marathon :D It's also like watching paint dry, but at least with paint watching you can get high on the fumes! |
