This is the first time I can access the MilkyWay website since many days. Usually I just can't get in. Also uploads/downloads are slow and are often timed out. What's going on? Bandwidth problem? Server getting short on capacity?

Finally, didn't want to report this as no one else had but I too am having major problems with uploads and downloads for the last 3-4 days. Not so much of a problem on the dual cores but the Q9550 spends more time idle on milky's trying to upload and download work than it actually spends crunching. tutta what sort of net connection are you on, mine is a satellite broadband connection, was wondering if maybe the latency is a problem for some reason. Anyhow would be nice if things would get back to normal, 9550 was up to #5 host on RAC but is slowly going backwards :(

Yeah, can only agree to it, also problems since 4-5 days constantly.
Using the good time now to post it. ;-)
Also the website appears in strange forms sometimes when it slowly comes up.

tutta55,

don't be surprised. Weekend is coming. This is the usual time when Milkyway@Home breaks down. It will worsen during weekend and (probably) will be resolved Monday.

I began noticing a problem with accessing the website about 10 days ago. I have a broadband connection which allows for continuous access to the site however error messages such as site unavailable or couldn't find server have become routine during the day. Have Bonic set to revert to backup projects and as a result my computer is running these more than MW. This has not been a problem until now. No problem with retrieving files from other projects. Doesn't appear to be one of the routine weekend problems at this point.

You can thank 2 teams for that... LAF and BOINC@Autralia are fighting for the #1 spot here and are constantly overloading the server...

Maybe it's be a good Idea to make User Mirrors alike BURP it do?
Potentially it can keep Traffic and Load over many Servers and not only one Server, but easier said than done I'm know..

I either get
1. the site loads so slow that nothing comes up, or
2. it loads instantly
Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected the expected?
If it makes sense, DON'T do it.
