I've been on the project for quite some time. Recently every task my computer finishes reports back with a computation error. Can anyone shed some light on this matter? |

It's probably your cat 13.9. Can you try going back to 13.1 (seems save for nearly everyone) or up to 14.1 (seen a few people using it)? |

What is this cat thing you speak of? If you are using the Catalyst driver to control your card, try downgrading versions. For crunching, newer is seldom better. |

OK then, How do i find out what version I'm currently using? And once I do, how do I go about making changes to the right catalist? |

OK then, How do i find out what version I'm currently using? And once I do, how do I go about making changes to the right catalist? When I look at your computer online here one thing it shows is this: AMD AMD Radeon HD 7500/7600/8500/8600 series (Devastator) (768MB) driver: 1.4.1848 OpenCL: 1.02 The driver is the Catalyst, or Cat for short, and you are using version 1.4.1848. And sinr you ARE running both the: Milkyway@Home Separation (Modified Fit) v1.30 (opencl_amd_ati) and the: MilkyWay@Home v1.02 (opencl_amd_ati) tasks it means you ARE using the Cat driver to process the units. If you are not a gamer then using the latest and greatest Cat software is not usually helpful as gamers are one of there primary markets, while us crunchers are waaay down the list. Super computers is very near the top of the list, and both gamers and super computers use their gpu's much differently then we crunchers do. To figure out which version YOU have just click, start, then hover your mouse over all programs until the full list pops up, then click on AMD Catalyst Control Center and then click on the usually top line in the mini drop down box that again says AMD Catalyst Control Center. On the bottom of the list on the left of the box that pops up click Information, then Software and in he right hand box it will tell you all about your current version. The pc I just did it on says 13.10 as the version I am using, the pc is running 64bit Win7 and has an AMD 7970 gpu in it. |

Yeah, 99% of the time I'm gaming I exit out of Boinc. When done I restart my computer to give it a fresh start and Boinc starts up after reboot. |

Yeah, 99% of the time I'm gaming I exit out of Boinc. When done I restart my computer to give it a fresh start and Boinc starts up after reboot. Is that when the errors are occurring, during the stop and restart process? There is a way to make Boinc stop without stopping it manually if you'd like. Go into the Boinc Manager, down by the clock, and do a double click to open it, then click on Tools, computing preferences then the far right hand tab 'exclusive applications'. In there you go thru the process to find the file that starts your game and when it runs Boinc automatically stops crunching, when that files stops running Boinc automatically starts crunching again. I see your pc has 16mb of ram, so it should be fine with Boinc waiting in the background while you game. |

I'm not exactly sure if that's when the errors occur, but I'll give your solution a try anyway. |
