Hello, this message i got, when i disabled my CPU, to get some work for the new Radeon R9 285 Card which is running with an Intel i5-4690 and WIN7/32Bit. In other Projects it works pretty well! Does anyone know anything about? Cant fix it :( |

It requires a Server upgrade and they are working on getting a new one to do that. Look for threads about using a 69xx gpu card, it could be your answer. The problem is AMD changed the card itself when the went to the R series cards, and will never go back to the old way again as they say the new way is better for their major market, ie gamers. Some version of drivers WILL work for you, it may just take some effort to find it. |

Hi mikey, thanx for your answer! :) What a driver mess at AMD!!! - I was fighting that war with Linux already... installed a 3 years old Linux & and tried (how many?) older drivers, only to get openCL support for an old HD4850 card finally... ...a few days ago i bought a new Radeon-card for a Windows machine, and now that crazy war seems to go on ---> frustrating! :((( |

Hi mikey, thanx for your answer! :) Yes it can be, Nvidia has the problem of crippling the dual precision part needed for some of the projects, so that isn't always a good choice either. Both the part AMD removed and the dual precision part is not needed for gaming though, so it kinda sorta makes sense in the money saving corporate world. |
