Hey Everyone, I have been informed by Keith that there is a new version of the BOINC client which fixes the truncated stderr.txt file issue. This would because it was possible for BOINC finish to be called before a program has finished writing to the stderr.txt file. The fix is available in BOINC version 7.6.6 and should prevent the ~3% validation error rate both our project and Seti@home have been seeing. If you have any questions please let me know here. You can find the download for the new version here. Jake W. |

I have tried to download the newer BOINC version 3 times, each time, it failed with a generic failure message. I guess it will sort itself out after a while, I had not seen the problem anyway, so not a critical issue. |

Berkeley is having their usual down times and downloads are difficult, give it a day or so and they should be back up again. |

SETI@home Network Outage (August 17-18) This affects the BOINC site as well. |
