On major thing i to stop Boinc and uninstall the Nvidia Software and then redownload and reinstalll it, you are running Win10 and it has a VERY bad habit of replacing your perfectly fine drivers with 'new' but unusable for crunching ones when it does updates. MS came out with a biggie last week and your pc probably got hit with it.

One other thing I noticed you did was upgrade Boinc in between the last valid unit and now, if uninstalling and then reinstalling the Nvidia drivers doesn't work you might try going back to the older version of Boinc to see if that fixes it.

I updated my Bonic to see if it would fix the issue. I will have to see about dumping my GPU drivers... that is going to suck

Unfortunately that's been an ongoing problem with Win10, it affects some people and not others for some reason.

I'm still having problems. I dumped and reinstalled bionic including an old lunatics optimizer and i'm still getting the below. please help

It's Win10 updating your drivers to what it thinks are 'better' ones, you need to uninstall the current ones and reinstall the 'right' ones from Nvidia.com

Did you uninstall the old ones first? If so I don't know what else it could be, sorry.

re-dumped all drivers..... hard shutdown with three re boots....and it started to work again when I brought my system up tonight.... thank your help, could not have done it with out your input.

No problem, Win10 IS a major problem for some people and you have found one of the major reasons why! The other is older hardware that MS still hasn't figured out how to support, or doesn't care about.

Well guess what... Bleeding Win10 upgraded on me yesterday, shouldn't have been too much of a problem, BUT MW@H servers were down, so I didn't have any MW@H tasks..
Today with MW servers back up, I get major error messages that MW@H cant see my GPU.. and tasks being aborted left right and center..

Took me a while to figure it out, the dratted upgrade only loaded 1 ccopy of the driver, for the 1st gpu and left it at that. Had to re-install the NVidia drivers. then restart BOINC and lo and behold now the other gpu exists..

Point to bear in mind if Win10 does a major upgrade, reinstall your drivers or its quite possible some of your gpu's will disappear for whatever project..

Been there Done That, still no Damn T-Shirt

I had the exact same problem yesterday. BOINC ended up aborting over 1400 workunits because of this problem. I simply reinstalled the drivers from NVIDIA and this fixed the problem.
