Hello
what is going on?
is from such many days that the project works as a sigh or in a bad way
often i got the following troubles
1) server can't connect to database
2) can't get any wus
3) the site is down
4) ati r9-290 and 280x can't get any work, never, and the in stderr.txt i get the message " this device is not supported" referring to the gpu
5) neverending and deathloop waiting for the validation process

so, if the project is over or is going to be closed, or the administrator hasn't anymore any willing to keep it up, it will be a good idea and nice from his side to tell us, so we won't leave anywore our host waiting for some wus and in the meanwhile wasting electricity.

Please admin, can u wake up and tell us the truth? what are you waiting for?????

server's project acts as a joke. always problems and when it works (few minutes per day) is slow like a donkey. Is it a candid camera or what?
errors prom the peer, no wus availables, error from sql database (it say too many connections),super GPUS that are recognized as an RV600 and so on.. to have some wus is like a jackpot in a lottery.

I leave this project and came back when it gets more stable and serious.

good bye mlkw

These questions have all been answered in other threads. Project devs are doing their best. Why do people get so upset about these things?

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for those defending the project. I apologize for the current server instability. I worked many hours last week and many hours over the weekend on implementing work unit bundling. I am trying to get it rolled out as soon as possible to solve these issues. I have much of the coding complete, and plan to move on to testing late tomorrow or early Wednesday. My goal is a release of a new client version, and new server version by the end of the week.

To reiterate, this project is not OVER, semi-abandoned, or DYING, it is actually the most active it has been in over a year and a half. These issues you are seeing are the result of us trying to push the project to be more productive than ever before. I would like to thank you all for being patient and understanding while we go through our growing pains.

Might I suggest a backup project or project(s)? Things happen to even the best funded projects with super-attentive admins, that cause shortages of work.

I have E@H set to 0% on my 280x plus I setup a script to pause E@H every 15min and resume. That way if there is any MW WUs downloaded in that time they will start running instead of E@H. MW is the only non-number(collatz/prime) GPU project really suited for DP cards like the 280x so I'd like to keep it busy with MW as much as possible. Once Universe releases its DP GPU project then it'll be a different story.

Can you share this script with us, please?

I don't think that's correct. Only Genefer n=21 and n=22 are DP. Everything else is SP, including PPS Sieve.

Einstein sucks right now for Windows GPU app since the new WUs were introduced.
