Absolutely no problem, look at this pc:

It's not a problem to mix cards and it's not a problem to mix apps.
I can run GPUGRID and MW at the same time on the nVidea card, Einstein and MW on AMD and Einstein on Intel.

Hi,
How do you configure 2 project at the same time on one GPU card ? My PC like yours, one AMD and one Nvidia so I want to try it. I run Milkyway Einstein GpuGrid and Seti. It is a good way to eliminate free cores and unused processes at the GPUs.

That's easy. With an app_config.xml you can set the cpu and gpu usage. I've set Einstein and Gpugrid to 0.34 gpu's, which means, it can run two wu's. And I've set MW to use 0.25 gpu's, so the BM loads another app to fill the gpu usage to the best value near 100%. The actual mix of apps ist then controlled by the ressource share settings.
When no MW wu's are available, it will load Einstein for AMD and Gpugrid for nVidia, since ressource share is set to 0. If you use the same share for all projects, the mix changes from time to time. With the app_config as described you have always at least one MW wu per gpu running.

Edit: sorry its not app_info, its app_config.xml

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for the silence yesterday, I decided to take a day off yesterday to recharge a bit after the huge push I've been doing for the last two weeks. I will be working on the Linux GPU apps today, the Mac applications, and if I have time I will look into fixing the cosmetic issues with the progress bar.

Jake

Hi Jake,

I hope you got some rest indeed. Nevertheless, any progress by now, with those Mac applications? I´m not that regular at crunching Milkyway, but try to participate about 10% of what I might be able to do for Einstein. Unfortunately, the bundled tasks are still not available for me.

GPU work units are now working properly for me. Thanks for the work fixing the prior issue.

After two weeks of regular work I can say that my linux boxes are crunching really well. They are old tahiti-based cards, so, previously, they feels hungry often. ;-)

Congratulations to Jake Weiss for patching quickly all leaks and thank you to Micheal H.W. Weber for suggestion about bundling of WUs.

In my opinion, better cards can cruch bundle of 100 WU, so, as Arivald Ha'gel as already asked, a subproject for bundle of 25/50/100 WU can be interesting.

Thanks and keep up the good work.
