I crunch for several different projects
Seti@home
POGS
Einstein
and this one Milky Way

Most of my projects I run I have an efficient run time of close to 90%, meaning that if my run time was 1000 seconds my CPU time would be around 900. With Milky Way I am averaging about 16% percent efficient.
Run time 225 seconds, CPU time 25 Seconds.

I run MW only on my GPU (1060 - 6GB). Is there anyway to run this more cleaner?

Thank you
Bob

Unfortunately, BOINC doesn't really give you much information on GPU utilization; the CPU time you see is the time that was spent doing I/O operations between your GPU and hard drive. Some projects require a lot of I/O, some take longer to compute; Einstein is one that requires a lot of I/O, and typically reserves an entire CPU core to take care of that operation.

I started looking at other Wing Mates times and they were pretty close to what I was getting. Your explanation appears to be the answer I was hunting for.

Thanks for the time and have a happy and healthy new year.

Also the same to all the MW crunchers out there, Be safe.
