Several days BOINC Manager can't download milkyway_1.46_windows_x86_64__opencl_ati_101.exe. Speed = 0.0KBps always. Status - active. Reload or refreash project not helped. Other projects has no such problems.Firewall - off (exeption had same result)

Message 68336 - Posted: 22 Mar 2019, 2:53:44 UTC - in response to Message 68332.

My only Windows 10 machine has successfully crunched 22 million credits. When the server was changed, new binaries stuck in the middle of downloading. This happened on both milkyway_1.46_windows_x86_64.exe and milkyway_1.46_windows_x86_64__opencl_nvidia_101.exe. Nothing changed on the machine. The machine worked before the server change and is stuck in downloading mode after.

I am unable to allow access to my computers, so I think they are hidden. When I try to SET the Preferences "Should MilkyWay@home show your computers on its web site?" to CHECKED, the option will not allow me.

Linux machines are running fine.

I don't need any help. Bugs are not my problem, especially network (it's not on my side). Milky Way should compete for processing power, but not me. My machines does not care which project to crunch. While it's can't take milkyway, it calculate another.

You have hidden your machine(s) so don't expect hardware help.

Hello,
the same for me !
But : a solution :
go to download directory of project.
Download manually. Perhaps you will receive a security alert about "publisher can not be verified ".
Trust it. Unblock file(s) with file properties.
Then copy it to project directory and manually "run as admin"....
Restart BOINC (not a reset project because it will delete all).

Try marsinph's method above dealing with Windows 10 file security or this method using BOINC config file forcing BOINC.exe to use what file it finds instead of attempting a new d/l:
