My alternate 'small project' is Spinhenge -- typically very reliable and they do have a separate discussion board (I've even gotten email replies directly from one of the admins) -- though it does help if you can read/understand German.

No work to my certain knowledge since about 2.30pm UTC, and no amount of kicking the servers via BOINC's Projects tab, then clicking update can squeeze anything down.

Moreover, the server status page at about 15.00UTC showed nearly 65,000 WUs as Results in progress. This has fallen to 20,247 at 21.34UTC

Looks like the system is being run down for the release of another large batch of work. Or, I think, this is the same as what happened Sunday, when things were getting starved.

Meantime Einstein and Malaria are getting a small boost.

Unfortunately, that project is unavailable at the moment....

I think I will be switching projects soon.

Check out AI's site, it is loaded with info and admin comments. It is run by only 2 people. http://www.intelligencerealm.com/aisystem/system.php

My point was that Travis whined before because there isn't enough staff. That project is bery well off with 2 people.

Right -- for me the 'boosted' projects are Climate, Spinhenge, Einstein and Malaria. I've also attached to a new project to give it a try. Your approach to 'kicking the servers' for new work is the same as mine by the way.

It would be nice (polite) for there to be some admin response during these situations.

Understood, though one other thing that happened here was the release of the optimized application -- that resulted in the project going a bit hyperactive on a number of fronts.

I just wish Travis could jump in here with *SOME* comment -- uncertainty is one of the hobgoblins of projects. Lack of communication is another....

I'll start a new thread to ask the question in NC.

That way it will be obvious to Travis, Dave or which ever Admin looks in.

Yesterday was great with all the interactions and the work flowing, and I appreciate Travis was in during Saturday (the week end).

Work is very scarce at this moment, and all my rigs are beginning to starve.

I see that the number of Wus in pending is soaring too!

the pending WUs are from the new app -- i'm still debugging work creation with that. after i get that working correctly i'll move to validation... then the assimilator :P

i'll start up some more work for the old app.

Work seems short today. Only had 5 so far.

It would be nice if the server status was showing which kind of WUs are available. ;-)
Would it be possible to tweak the page to show the numbers of "Astronomy" and "milkyway" WUs separatedly?
Lovely greetings, Cori

My guess is that it is being messed with, since the test 21 wu's were erroring out, I kept getting leftovers, and now nothing.

Yeah that was the problem, there are a bunch of test WUs but not a lot of old WUs. I just updated the old code to generate WUs based off of the number of old WUs generated instead of total WUs, so work should be flowing better now. I'm going to see if i can update the status page.

Also though, the test21 WU's were all erroring out on download:
