I noticed that the "620" work finished yesterday around this time and "621" work started being issued.

Now it looks like there are 0 units ready to send and the # of 'in progress' tasks is dropping quickly. Does this mean that "621" has no more work to issue? Time for "622" now? Is this an opportunity to increase the precision of the tasks much as Nathan did previously? I suspect this would still make the tasks longer, but (heh) it appears you now have the horsepower to do it. ;)

Just idly wondering... :)

Ahhh, disregard... I guess the WU generator just needed a bit of time to catch up. Looks like 621 still has some life left in it. ;)

OK, so I'll be the one to ask.....what does 371, 372, 373, 620, and now 621 mean? If we're going to pick numbers in the 600s, then I'm going to suggest

611

That has significance for me at least...considering I've ridden it and it is sitting not but about 200 yards from me right now... :-)

I've had too many bad experiences... For example, I asked this girl what her sign was and she said "Stop"...

Between that and the "nice guy, but...", I'm guessing my planets are permanently out of alignment...

You have simply got to stop visiting specialists who offer astrology adjustments if you have insurance.

Is this the appropriate time to ask about any riders on the policy?

You mean the policy insuring that there will be available work? Sorry, with 5 minute work units, that policy appears to have lapsed with NO comment about corrective action from Travis. I am beginning to feel a bit 'Predictorized'.

Well, the 5 minute tasks are fine, so long as the infrastructure supports them. As for manually mashing the update button, good luck with that. I just grab work from other projects and then set them to not get any more work and leave MW open for work. If I don't get any, that's cool. If I do, that's cool too.

I pretty much do that as well -- and right now especially since there simply is NO MilkyWay work available. So I tapped my active workstations to load up with work from SETI, Malaria, World Grid, Spinhenge, Rosetta and Einstein.

Given that the infrastructure is clearly STRESSED with 5 minute work units (both in terms of creating them and farming them out, especially with a 20 work unit per CPU cache (ie less than 2 hours). Something is going to need to change.
