Normally as WUs are crunched the results sent back and credit is given almost immediately.

I see from the server status page the current is given -

Database/file status
State................................... #

Results ready to send.................. 10
Results in progress................ 39,523
Work units waiting for validation....... 25
Work units waiting for assimilation.... 475
Work units waiting for deletion.......... 0

Results waiting for deletion............. 0
Transitioner backlog (hours)............. 1

Also, my Account shows my Pending credit as 237.32

This is made up of 114 WUs with credit varying between 1.98 and 2.68 (cones from Core 2 Quads which are hitting the credit limitations when work is available)

Why is there so many WUs stored in pending, when normally none are shown?

It fluctuates John. I think pendings go up when WU creation is taking place and then goes down once a certain number of WUs pending is reached. Right now I have over 100 pending too.

Labbie

The numbers have dropped significantly, and all rigs are crunching MW. Let's hope this continues all night then the RAC can blossom again

Yeah John, it's been pretty smooth today. Hopefully the next 12 hours will be as productive.

Still seems to be happening.

Although my total credit is rising I have an estimated 2220 - 230 WUs ready in pending.

I don't think it gets kicked enough. I wouldn't mind give it a few swift kicks myself. :P

True, and the pending list is still growing, but much more slowly now.

Pending all gone again, and back to normal.

Servers still seem to be keeping up with demand, and only occasionally the Server Status says there is no work waiting.

Looks like the servers want a good shake again

No work ATM, and pending growing like crazy with the last dregs of what is in the cache.

Workunits waiting for assimilation 342

Whatever was done didn't solve it.

Hmmm...

Actually, it does look like it helped. The transitioner backlog is decreased (now only 1 hour behind).

In fact, I don't mind it too much. It gives me at least a chance to see the outcome before they go poof. ;-)
