Hello Everyone,

I have put up the following separation runs:

de_modfit_80_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3
de_modfit_81_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3
de_modfit_82_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3
de_modfit_83_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3
de_modfit_84_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3
de_modfit_85_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3
de_modfit_86_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3

And I have taken down the following separation runs:

de_modfit_80_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_2
de_modfit_81_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_2
de_modfit_82_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_2
de_modfit_83_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_2
de_modfit_86_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_2
de_modfit_14_bundle5_testing_4s3f_1
de_modfit_14_bundle5_testing_4s3f_2
de_modfit_14_bundle5_testing_4s3f_3
de_modfit_14_bundle5_testing_3s4f_1
de_modfit_14_bundle5_testing_3s4f_2
de_modfit_14_bundle5_testing_3s4f_3

The new runs are copies of the previous bgset_2 runs, in order to verify our results. Since the stripe 84 and 85 runs in the last set went a bit wonky after a couple weeks, I expect the same to happen here. I will keep a close watch on these forums, and when people begin to report errors from the runs on those stripes, I will promptly take them down. The errors that people are reporting on the bgset_2 runs should stop in the next couple days as the old runs all finish trickling in.

All of the testing runs have come down (there may be more in the future).

Thank you all for your continued support with this project. Stay safe (and sane) in these strange times.

Best,
Tom

Hi Tom,

I've just started getting Validate errors for some of these, as follows:

Workunit 1993489462; de_modfit_85_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3_1588605902_50574435
Workunit 1993300637; de_modfit_85_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3_1588605902_50388118
Workunit 1993480503; de_modfit_85_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3_1588605902_50565584
Workunit 1993449153; de_modfit_85_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3_1588605902_50534666

Stripe 85 again... And it's the same difference of opinion about stream integral values vanishingly close to zero, so I presume this is what you were expecting!

Cheers - Al.

Thanks

I have taken down runs for de_modfit_85_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3. Please let me know if/when de_modfit_84_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3 begins throwing these errors, and I will take down that stripe as well.

Stripe 85 runs should stop being sent out in the next day or so as the server runs through its workunit cache. Thanks for your help monitoring the situation.

Most of my de_modfit_85_bundle4 errors are on my amd a10-7700k with a pirepro w8100
and an intel i5-4460 with a r9-280.
my intel gpus seem fine.

The computer is frozen on a task de_modfit_86_bundle4_4s_south4s_bgset_3.
System time stopped, job progress was 99%.

Hi DAF,

I'm not sure what the problem could be there. Have you experienced this with any other workunits, or just this one?

Did you suspend the nbody task, or abort it? I find BOINC doesn’t fetch new work if a task is suspended. I don’t remember if that is per project or for the computer as a whole.

Per Project....I often suspend a Project to crunch another one that I need some tasks to get the next badge for and then circle back to the first one before the tasks expire.

Hi Dean,

Nice to see that you're volunteering for the MilkyWay@home project! I personally do not have any control over what workunits go where or what computers are used. You will have to allow your machine to crunch work for MilkyWay in order to get workunits from us.
