I am having a problem with long running tasks on a Dell Laptop Win 10 that has been pretty reliable. It is not pulling any errors that I am aware of on multiple projects. Intermittently it will run long with times climbing instead of falling on a Milkyway task. It runs them as 6 cpu jobs.

Example Task that I manually aborted.

Suggestions welcome

Thanks

I'm guessing that's an n-body cpu task...they don't work for everyone and use every cpu core your pc has to crunch each and every one of them. That means if you are doing anything else with the pc they take longer and longer and longer.

Yes they have been n-body cpu tasks. What is odd the same system can complete the same type successfully for credit and also complete them but "have an inconclusive status". Just seems strange I have over 10 years and over 5 million credits and have never seen anything like it before.

Thanks for your reply.

Inconclusive is MilkyWays way of saying 'waiting for a wingman' so don't worry about that, most projects use Pending but MilkyWay uses Inconclusive.
