I was wondering if it would be possible to add some graphics to the project.

Nothing too fancy, but what would be really neat is a general view of the Milky Way Galaxy, and within, the program shows where in relation to Earth and the Galaxy, the current computer work is analyzing.

There are probably other priority items your team is focusing on. However, having a visualization showing where my computer is helping out in the Galactic Map would be a great, useful screensaver to have running!

Thoughts?

what I would like to see is how I have contributed to the MilkyWay@home project. For example thousands of predictions are calculated to find an exact match to explain what is observed. which means that it is rare that are data crunching will be meaningful in a positive hit. However, if we are lucky to be part of that simulation it would be a nice thing to know. Likewise misses are important because all the calculations are required to know that it is wrong. That provides opportunities for others to provide the correct simulations.

If we, the crowd computer owner, contributed to part of the simulation it would also be nice to know. That would take it to the next step beyond the volume of data we crunched.

I'm not sure any project collects data that way right now but it would be kinda cool, well I guess the prime number projects do when you find one but other than that they don't show anything

I'd LOVE to see what science looks like. Literally :D
