I assume that making such a project work with the new security protocols implemented after the RPI network attack took some work. Would have been nice to have more updates by other means, as in the Fb or Twitter accounts, day by day though.

They did not even do that to the people that work at RPI they are certainly not doing it for volunteers, Faculty and Staff got an email telling them it was going down due to a suspected hack and would return at some point and them boom it was down. RPI does or used to do work for the USGovernment and I'm guessing they did a thorough hashing of all the points where hackers could get in and they are now secured.
