Hey everyone,

The last set of N-body runs has converged beautifully. Thus, we have replaced the old runs with a set of new ones:
-de_nbody_06_16_2021_v176_40k__data__4
-de_nbody_06_16_2021_v176_40k__data__5
-de_nbody_06_16_2021_v176_40k__data__6

Since the last set ran without problems, we expect this one to run smoothly, too. Thank you all for your continued support.

-Eric

Noticed the updates since June 2021 and received new tasks but not transfers. Not that it really matter, since I've been on board since Netscape, but points are tracking like a spider on acid. Dave G, NH

So, not sure what N-body is or is about, I dont spend a lot of time reading here, but I got the note about N-body and GPU's. I have a pretty good GPU (Gaming rig), will the code you are developing for GPU's automatically run on the BOINC platform or do we need to update to a different version of the system?

As long as you have recently updated drivers with OpenCL compute support, you should be able to run the new N-body gpu app when it/if is released.

So, new issue. I just buildt a new system and added Bonic, and am getting the message from this project that "N-Body Simulation needs 50.00MB more disk space. You currently have 0.00 available and it needs 50.00MB." I have 20gig available for use by Bonic and cannot figure out where the additional 50mb needs to be configured. Can anyone assist?

We had this problem over at rosetta@home where the disk space used by the python projects is very big
From the `options` tab of boinc manager , then `computing preferences` then `disk and memory` tab , try setting it at
Use no more than - 100 GB - {Just set this to something BIG}
Leave at least - 0.01 GB free
Use no more than - 99.9 % of total

Boinc will only use what it needs
This is from my thread on the problem over at Rosetta@home

LOL, I am getting the same issue at Rosetta@home as well. Glad to see that I am not the only one.

I went ahead and set the preferences as you suggested, we shall see...
