For the first time, four recently downloaded workunits were processing normally for about 15 seconds until a computational error arose. Then these work units were marked as 'complete' and sent back to the server when the next communication was made.

What is the cause of this computational error?

in making the new search there was a problem with the new volume.txt file not being read by the application correctly. there might be a few more broken wus out there - but this should be fixed for newer ones.

Yes. After a bunch of error-out tasks, I see successful completions now.

I have had three errors like this in a row, I will reset the project so I can get new WU's.

I run a AMD 3000+ with WinXP.

If you check in your results list, you will see that most of then that are erroring out now are the re-issues of the ones that errored earlier.

Most that I have seen have almost reached the error limit, so they should be almost gone.

Hopefully.

This seems to be the case, earlier i had several computation errors but got a batch of new work units in the last 30 minutes or so and these are crunching away without any errors.

Only seems to be the units named "gs_5..." that I am getting the error with.

I'm getting them with Gs4 and GS5.. but if it's only for a certian number i'll let them run through.

the errors should be fixed for new work units, theres probably a few that need to be worked through but it shouldn't happen after that.

So the errors are just g5 WU's since I just got one g5 right now, probably won't crunch until after all the g4's I have.

I know from other projects that there is a way for the project administrator to delete them from the system so they do not "recycle" again and again, but I do not believe they have looked into that here yet.

Past few hours have seen alot less bad work units, And alot more stable ones running in the 7 Minute a work unit area. Hope it stays like that for awhile. :)

Hopefully all the g5's are gone now since I just got one more that decided that it would error out. Hopefully that is the last one.
